A$AP Ferg
Darold “FERG” Brown was born into Harlem’s creative legacy, attending New York’s High School of Art and Design and interning at Rocawear and Sean John before co-founding the A$AP Mob. Initially the group’s lead clothing designer, he quickly broke out as one of its most successful rappers alongside A$AP Rocky. His debut albums, Trap Lord and Always Strive and Prosper, both landed in the Billboard Top Ten, while his 2020 single “Move Ya Hips” featuring Nicki Minaj became a Billboard Hot 100 Top 20 hit. His creative reach has also extended to television and film, with appearances in The Godfather of Harlem and HBO Max’s The Hype.
FERG’s influence extends across art, fashion, and music, where he continues to evolve as a true cultural architect. A painter as well as a musician, he created the self portrait cover art for his 2024 album Darold—his most personal project to date, offering an unfiltered portrait of his life and artistry. He has collaborated with global brands including Adidas, Hennessy, Timberland, and New Era, and made history as one of the first hip-hop artists to collaborate with Tiffany & Co., bridging Harlem authenticity with luxury heritage. In 2024, he relaunched the FERG apparel brand with Awake NY and Vanson, and in 2025 introduced Flo Fair, a one-day wellness and culture activation capped by a live show curated and headlined by FERG. These ventures reinforce his standing as a multidisciplinary artist and visionary whose work resonates across generations, industries, and communities.
